About Us

John graduated in Accounting in 1977 from the Swinburne Institute of Melbourne. He went on to work in London, South Africa and Hong Kong honing his skills in taxation, accounting and auditing. Returning to Australia in 1987 he partnered with Michael Curtis and formed Curtis & Moore, which later became Moore & Moore. “I decided to open my own practice because I realised that smaller sized businesses were not getting the level of service and professional expertise they deserved. By opening a locally based practice I could get to know my clients, their needs and their particular business situations and be able to deliver solutions for them in simple language. We started doing it from day one, and it continues to this day. Over the years it has been a joy to be part of the growth and success of many of our clients’ businesses some of whom have become lifelong friends.”

A proud graduate of the University of Technology Sydney with a Bachelor of Commerce (Distinction), majoring in Accounting (Business Law sub-major), Ryan is dedicated to helping clients navigate the complexities of business and taxation with clarity and confidence. As a Registered Tax Agent and Xero Certified Advisor, Ryan specializes in providing tailored business solutions that simplify financial decision-making. His expertise spans a wide range of business services, including tax planning, compliance, and strategic advice, all with a focus on helping SMEs grow, thrive, and make informed financial decisions. Ryan’s passion lies in demystifying the complexities of taxation and business operations, ensuring his clients have a clear understanding of their financial position. His hands-on approach, paired with a strong belief in the value of self-employment makes him a trusted advisor to many. “I find great satisfaction in solving problems—whether it is supporting a client with a tax challenge or improving internal systems within the firm.
